7 Soulful Social Media Lessons Iβve Learned Behind the Scenes
Apr 10, 2025
I’ve used energy healing for over 15 years — it’s become how I move through life.
After leaving an abusive marriage, it helped me survive, then thrive.
And it’s supported me through some of the hardest and most defining moments of my life —
moving countries, facing a cancer diagnosis, learning a new language, grieving the loss of my dad, and living through the global pandemic.
But what I didn’t expect… was that it would change how I see social media, too.
As I supported others in a healing community, I began to notice something: patterns, possibilities, shifts. The same energy work that helped me change my personal life was changing how we show up online, too.
Over time, I changed.
I started to trust my ability to see what others couldn’t — the energy behind their message, the deeper truth trying to come through.
And when I helped them see it too, things began to move.
Not because of hacks or hustle, but because the vision clicked.
I’ve spent years now supporting clients — mostly behind the scenes — with their content, their confidence, and their clarity.
My own social media presence has often been quiet — not because I don’t value it, but because I’ve been deep in client work, helping others shape their message, find their voice, and share it with confidence.
And in that process, I’ve learned so much about what it really takes to show up in a way that feels aligned.
These are seven of the most soulful lessons I’ve picked up along the way.
1. Alignment Beats Algorithms
I’ve supported clients through launches, creative ruts, and algorithm changes — and every time, it’s not just the strategy that makes the difference.
It’s when their message lands energetically that everything clicks.
When someone shares from a deeply aligned, embodied place, something shifts.
Their content becomes magnetic — not because of keywords or timing, but because it carries truth.
π‘ It’s not about learning the algorithm’s rules. It’s about tuning into your message — because that’s what people actually feel.
2. Start Before You Feel Fully Ready
So many spiritual entrepreneurs freeze when they don’t have a full content calendar.
They don’t just want the next step — they want the whole content calendar colour-coded before they begin.
I love planning ahead. As a social media manager, having a full month mapped out is a dream.
But the real magic? It’s in finding the sweet spot — structure and spaciousness.
Room for intuitive posts. Space to shift. Freedom to begin, even when it’s not all figured out.
I’ve seen clients have powerful breakthroughs after sharing something imperfect but true.
π‘ You don’t need a flawless plan. You just need a starting point that feels aligned right now.
3. Your Energy Shapes the Results
When I work on someone’s content, I don’t just see the words — I feel the energy behind them.
And when a post isn’t landing, it’s rarely about the algorithm... or even the copy.
It’s usually something deeper — the energy underneath.
The hesitation. The overthinking. The “I’m not sure I believe this” moment hiding between the lines.
Once we shift that — once the message clicks for them — the results follow.
More engagement. More ease. More confidence.
π‘ People don’t just respond to content. They respond to energy — the kind that’s aligned, intentional, and true.
4. You Don’t Have to Be Visible 24/7 to Make an Impact
It’s true — if you want to grow online, showing up more often helps.
I see it all the time with my clients. Momentum builds through consistency.
But here’s the part I’ve come to believe just as strongly:
You don’t need to be online all the time to make an impact.
What matters is how you show up — not just how often.
Intentional, energised posts go further than constant content created from pressure or burnout.
π‘ More visibility helps — but only when it’s fuelled by alignment, not exhaustion.
5. Authenticity Isn’t Oversharing
Some of the most powerful posts I’ve helped shape weren’t the most personal — they were the most true. There’s a difference.
I used to think being authentic meant telling everything. But I’ve seen clients light up their audience by sharing one aligned insight — not their whole story.
Authenticity isn’t about spilling it all. It’s about sharing what’s real — from a grounded place.
π‘ Authenticity is about resonance, not exposure. Share what feels true — not what feels performative.
6. Strategy Needs Soul
I’ve seen beautifully built strategies fall flat — not because they were wrong, but because they weren’t rooted in truth.
And I’ve seen quiet, unplanned posts take off — simply because they had soul.
Over the years, I stopped trying to force clients into strategies that didn’t feel good.
Because the truth is, strategy works best when it’s aligned with who you are.
When we blend structure with intuition, strategy becomes something softer — more like support than pressure.
And that’s when things really start to flow.
π‘ Let your strategy support your energy — not override it.
7. Sometimes, Less Is More
I’ve repurposed single quotes, one-liner insights, or quiet images — and those have often had more reach and resonance than overproduced, complex content.
I realised that we don’t need to fill every moment with content — pauses have power too.
Reflection, simplicity, stillness — they make space for meaning.
You don’t have to do more to be more visible.
Sometimes, one clear, true message is all it takes.
π‘ Less content. More resonance. Let your message breathe.
A New Way to Grow
I’ve spent years quietly helping others grow their reach — not by shouting louder, but by tuning in more deeply. And along the way, I’ve come to believe a few more things to be true:
- You don’t have to fear analytics. They’re not judgment — they’re just information.
Used gently, they can guide your next steps without pulling you out of alignment. - You don’t need perfect photos or polished videos. Real works. Messy works.
A no-makeup selfie paired with a deep truth can move mountains. - And the post isn’t always the problem. Sometimes, it’s the belief behind it — the one that whispers, “You’re not ready” or “You don’t have anything valuable to say.” Those beliefs? They’re ready to be rewritten.
So if you’ve been holding back — waiting until you feel ready, or trying to do things the “right” way — maybe it’s time to trust a different rhythm.
Let your energy lead.
Let your strategy support.
Let your voice be heard — even if it’s quiet.
